This award celebrates architectural excellence, and our tour will highlight both the triumphs that still stand and those lost to time.

We’ll visit the facades of existing award-winning buildings, capturing their beauty and significance through the lens. For the structures that no longer exist, we’ll engage in an exercise of memory, documenting the traces of their presence and honoring their legacy through storytelling and emotional reflection.

This experience combines photography, architecture, and history, offering participants a chance to connect with the city’s evolving urban landscape while uncovering the stories behind Lisbon’s architectural gems.

📸 Photographic and Historical Workshop: Scratches and Rebirth of 1755

Take part in a unique photographic walking tour through Lisbon's historical streets, exploring the dramatic urban transformation caused by the Earthquake of November 1, 1755 (3:01). This workshop offers a close look at the city's architecture, confronting the lost sumptuousness with the geometric innovation of the Pombaline reconstruction (33:17).
Throughout the itinerary, we will capture through the lens the structures that stood firm or were raised from the chaos (19:58). For the great monuments and palaces that collapsed or burned, we will engage in an exercise of visual memory (2:06): we will document the invisible traces in the underground and honor the legacy of old Lisbon through historical accounts and emotional reflection (29:30).
